Description



Learn disaster preparedness skills through the O’Fallon Police Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)training. The free, 20-hour course will be taught over the weekend: Friday, Sept. 21, from 6 – 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22 and 23, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Training will cover these topics and more:

Assembling a disaster preparedness kit

Hands-on basic medical assessment and treatment for injuries, burns, etc.

Working as a team to conduct triage, light search and rescue and extinguishing small fires

The course will be taught at the O’Fallon Streets Department Building, 1089 Public Works Drive, O’Fallon, MO63366.
