Thank you for your interest in O’Fallon’s Transportation Program for Individuals with Disabilities. We regret to inform you that because our next round of federal funding has been severely delayed, this service is temporarily suspended. Unfortunately, we do not know when to expect the funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and we are unable to provide concrete information as to how long this suspension may last. We will restore service as soon as funding is released.
O’Fallon residents with disabilities who either cannot drive or do not have access to a car can apply for transportation to local essential living destinations, free, through O’Fallon’s Disabled Transportation program.
OATS, Inc. provides eligible O’Fallon residents with transportation to local destinations for medical appointments, banking and for groceries and personal care shopping. Due to funding constraints, rides are limited to two per month.
To qualify for the program, riders must submit a completed application (PDF) to the Public Assistance Office at City Hall. As part of the application, legal proof of disability, photo identification and proof of your O’Fallon residency is required. A photo ID with your O’Fallon address and your disability award letter or Social Security information can be used to show proof of your City residency. Once an application has been approved, riders may then contact OATS, Inc. to schedule rides.
