Bulk waste is defined as items which cannot fit fully within your refuse toter (excluding yard waste). O'Fallon's Environmental Services offers free bulk waste drop off days and curbside collection of bulk waste (for a fee). In addition, O'Fallon offers curbside collection of used appliances (for a fee) and electronics recycling.
Bulk Waste Drop-off
O’Fallon residents may dispose of items too large to fit into trash containers, free, by bringing them to the City’s waste transfer station at one of the City's bi-monthly bulk waste drop offs. The waste transfer station is located at 1572 Progress West Lane, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366.
The 2024 bulk waste drop-off days will be held 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on:
- Saturday, February 10
- Saturday, April 13
- Saturday, June 8
- Saturday, August 10
- Saturday, October 12
- Saturday, December 14
To utilize this service, O’Fallon residents must be current customers of the City’s trash service with their account in good standing. Residents will be required to display a current photo ID showing their O’Fallon address. Residents must unload their own items.
The service is limited to one car, pickup or small trailer (10 feet or less) load per address for each scheduled drop-off day. The following vehicles are not allowed and will be turned away:
- Commercial vehicles
- Rental vehicles
- Box trucks
- Trailers larger than 10 feet
Acceptable items for drop-off include: furniture, carpets, swing sets, bikes, toddler pools, mattresses, sports and exercise equipment, lawn mowers (no riding mowers), large hand tools, barbecue grills, computer monitors, televisions and fluorescent bulbs. All gas and oil need to be emptied from items prior to dropping off.
Unacceptable items include: appliances, automotive tires, parts and batteries, yard waste, railroad ties, liquid household hazardous waste: paints and stains, gas, oil, solvents, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides.

Bulk Waste Pick-up
Each item for bulk pick-up should not exceed 60 lbs. The hopper space that the bulk items will be loading into is 6 feet length x 3 feet width x 3 feet height. The fee applies per hopper space and will be added to your bi-monthly trash bill. The cost for this service is as follows:
- Bulky rubbish service for residents with City of O'Fallon trash service: $20
- Bulky rubbish service for non-residents with City of O'Fallon trash service: $30
