Yes. For safety reasons, it is important that all of our students wear their Safety Town shirts. The uniform color of the shirt allows us to know that your child belongs with our group. There are often summer school activities at the school and our group shirt color aids in maintaining separation between the various children's groups.

Yes. On certain days we will request that your child wear a safety helmet. All students will be fitted and will receive a safety helmet at Safety Town. We stress the importance of always wearing a helmet, when riding a bicycle, big wheel or other riding apparatus.
Can I go with my child onto the Safety Town layout?
No. The Safety Town city layout simulates a real town on a child-sized scale. We teach the children rules to follow when crossing the streets and work with them consistently during the course to help them understand their importance. On graduation day, when parents are allowed into the Safety Town area to take photos, they must remain on the perimeter of the Safety Town layout. Any child demonstrating a “safe practice” for their parent must follow the rules while on the Safety Town layout.
