Non-profits are invited to create unique holiday scenes for O’Fallon’s popular Celebration of Lights display

If your non-profit group or business is looking for an enjoyable fundraiser, the City of O’Fallon has openings for organizations to create unique holiday scenes as part of the annual Celebration of Lights display in Fort Zumwalt Park. The event opens Friday, November 24 (the day after Thanksgiving) at 6 p.m. and continues nightly (except on Christmas, December 25) through Saturday, December 30.

To participate, organizations must be 501c3 tax exempt, willing to create and maintain a unique, hand-crafted Christmas-themed exhibit at the Celebration of Lights display and help staff the gates 2-3 nights during the event. Participating groups also must have representatives present at the Old-Fashioned Holiday Stroll for pedestrians on December 11 and 12.

In return, organizations will be compensated for their time working the gate and also receive funds to cover a percentage of material fees and hours invested in building a scene, and have a sign displaying the group’s name.

For additional information about participating, call 636-379-5605 or email Jennifer Hoisington at ../SENT%202017/TOURISM%20AND%20FESTIVALS/This email address is being protected from spambots.
