O'FallonTheatreWorks
O'FallonTheatreWorks (formerly the O'Fallon Repertory Theatre) has been an active part of the community since 2001. Annual productions include a spring musical, and a fall drama or comedy.
Performances are held at O'Fallon Municipal Centre, 100 North Main Street. Shows begin at 8:00P, except on Sundays when they start at 2:00P. Prices range from $8 - $12. Children five and under are free. Ask about discounts for groups of 20 or more.
Fall 2010 play: The Crucible
O'FallonTheatreWorks presents The Crucible this Fall at the auditorium in O’Fallon Municipal Centre. The play runs Friday through Sunday for two weekends: November 5 - 7, and 12 - 14, 2010. Curtain is 8:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays. The box office will open one hour before.
Tickets will be available at the Parks and Recreation Office (400 Civic Park Drive) and the Renaud Spirit Center (2650 Tri Sports Circle). Tickets are also available by phone using Visa or MasterCard. Please call 636-379-5606 or 636-474-2REC.
The Crucible focuses upon a young farmer, his wife, and a young servant-girl who maliciously
causes the wife’s arrest for witchcraft. The farmer brings the girl to court to admit the lie—and it is here
that the monstrous course of bigotry and deceit is terrifyingly depicted. The farmer, instead of saving his
wife, finds himself also accused of witchcraft and ultimately condemned with a host of others.
Directions to see the show:
On I-70 in O’Fallon, take Exit 217 at Highways K/M (Main Street). Turn north on Main Street and drive about one-half mile. After crossing the railroad tracks, make an immediate right into the O’Fallon Municipal Centre parking lot. Enter through the east-side lobby, outside the Police Department.
