11/17/2016 - Traffic Alert - Signal work to cause traffic issues on Highway K at Waterford Crossing

The traffic signals at the intersection of Waterford Crossing and Highway K will be on red flash from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday November 17, 2016.  This is necessary in order for the contractor to switch over from the old traffic signal equipment to the new.  Please be advised that during the time period the traffic signals are on red flash, motorists should treat this intersection as an all way stop.  Motorist should come to a complete stop and yield to pedestrians and other motorists that have the right of way prior to proceeding through the intersection.

Treat your family to an evening of fun and holiday magic, free, at O’Fallon’s Tree Lighting Ceremony

Get the holidays off to a joyful start at the Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, in the O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. At 6:30 p.m., gather in the Rotunda and join Mayor Bill Hennessy in counting down to the lighting of the City’s giant holiday tree to officially welcome Santa and launch the holiday season in O’Fallon.

Admission and activities are free. Choral and instrumental music will be performed by the Forest Park Elementary School Choir. Kids can visit Santa (parents, be sure to bring your camera), join in holiday games, make crafts and play in the bounce house, and the whole family can take a ride on the “O’Fallon Express” City Train (weather permitting). Vendors will offer hand-crafted gifts and holiday items for sale, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Comment period deadline for O’Fallon’s proposed 2017 CDBG Annual Action Plan

A 30-day comment period regarding O’Fallon’s Fiscal Year 2017 Annual Action Plan for the O’Fallon Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program will end at 8am Monday, November 28, 2016. The plans are available for review at O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street as well as on the City’s website, www.ofallon.mo.us/grants.
