Among the first in the nation to honor U.S. soldiers killed in the Vietnam War, the Omer J. Dames War Memorial was erected by the O'Fallon Jaycees in 1969. It is named for World War I veteran and Missouri legislator Omer Dames.


Directions

From I-70: Take Exit 217 at Highway K/M. Turn north on K to Highway P and turn west. Drive to Dames Park Drive and turn south. Continue to Dames Park.


From Highway 40: Exit Highway 40 at K. Turn north on K to Highway P and turn west. Drive to Dames Park Drive and turn south. Continue to Dames Park.
