Planning and Development
About
The Planning and Development Department is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the City Council and the Board of Adjustment, and for reviewing and approving construction plans prior to the issuance of a building permit.
The department is also responsible for developing and implementing planning goals and principles, the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Code and Subdivision Code. City staff is responsible for reviewing and approving developments that both preserve and enhance the City for maintaining standards for land, structures and access issues.
