![]() Parks and Recreation Parks and Recreation tends to all the parkland and right of way property within O’Fallon city limits, as well as the City’s athletic fields and venues. They also help design, implement and monitor City events and programs such as the Heritage & Freedom Fest, Celebration of Lights, sporting events and leagues along with summer camps and other recreational classes.

The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center, Athletic Fields, Landscaping and Renaud Spirit Center. Alligator’s CreekAlligator’s Creek, the City’s outdoor aquatic center is located at O’Fallon’s history Civic Park, off Civic Park Drive and Main Street. Click here for the Alligator’s Creek page. Parks The Parks Department is responsible for the daily maintenance of the athletic fields and passive areas at of Dames Park, Ozzie Smith Sports Complex, Paul A. Westhoff Park and Sports Park. In addition, the Parks Department is responsible for all passive parks and recreation areas in Civic Park, Fort Zumwalt Park, and Knaust Park. The O’Fallon Recreation Department plans a wide array of programs for all ages and abilities in all of these parks. Please view the quarterly Recreation Guide for specific events by clicking here. Cultural Arts Gallery The O’Fallon Cultural Arts Gallery is located at the Renaud Spirit Center. Click here for the Cultural Arts page. Landscape The Landscape Division is responsible for the year-round appearance of key properties within the City. This division designs, plants, and maintains the floral beds, container plantings, flowering shrubs, trees, lawns, interior plants and all other horticultural highlights at City Hall, all municipal parks, highway overpasses and some tree-lined thoroughfares throughout the City. The Landscape staff operates a plant production program at the municipal greenhouse and crop nursery to produce finished plants for display. This division also handles the Tree City USA and the Commemorative Tree & Bench programs. Community education is provided by Landscape staff members through the Arbor Day/Fall Festival Celebration, the O’Fallon Web site, brochures and numerous telephone inquiries throughout the year.
