Stand Supervisor
Work involves supervising Food Service staff at an outdoor concession stand,.
Also includes assisting customers, cash handling, preparing bank deposits, preparing food items, maintaining clean public/food service and food preparation areas, and insuring adequate supplies are stored in the work area.

Camp Counselor
The City of O’Fallon is seeking applicants for the position of Camp Counselor.
This seasonal position will be responsible for, under direct supervision, to ensure the safety of camp participants in all camp related activities. They provide all facets of group supervision while conducting, implementing, and participating in camp related activities. This position further assists in providing program planning, outstanding leadership, exemplary examples of role models, and courteous customer service in the City’s Recreation Division.
Qualified candidates must have regular and predictable attendance, Must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the time of hire, Must complete required 2 week training program prior to beginning of camp and be available to work approximately 36 hours per week of camp.

Food Service Workers
The City of O’Fallon is seeking motivated customer service oriented individuals who are interested in part-time temporary summer employment as Food Service Workers.
Work involves a high level of contact with the general public, including assisting customers in outdoor concession areas, cash handling, preparing food items, maintaining clean public/food service and food preparation areas, and insuring adequate supplies are stored in the work area.

Parks and Recreation Intern
The City of O’Fallon is seeking candidates for the position of Intern for the Parks and Recreation Department.
This position will assist students in making an effective transition from the classroom to the professional world. This program is designed to give students the opportunity to explore the parks and recreation field and discover in which areas their interests lie.
Position is responsible for assisting with planning and implementation of a variety of recreation activities planned by the professional staff; to be involved in all various aspects of a successful parks and recreation program. Requirements include 3 years of college, must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays or other irregular hours, as required and CPR certification preferred, or must be able to obtain a first-aid/CPR card.

2010 Seasonal Positions
Seasonal Positions – Parks – Landscape – Right of Way
The City of O’Fallon Parks & Recreation Department is looking for qualified, motivated, and reliable individuals to fill seasonal staff positions for the 2010 outdoor season. Seasonal staff will be responsible for outdoor grounds care including park maintenance, mowing, landscaping, and maintenance of right-of-way. Forty hour per week schedules are available, and Saturday / Sunday, plus evening work hours are to be expected.
Applicants must have the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs, posses a valid driver’s license, and be able to function in the outdoor environment. Positions open March through November.

GIS Technician
The City of O’Fallon is seeking candidates for the position of GIS Technician.
This entry level position will work exclusively with ArcGIS software to perform mapping operations and analysis of geographic information related to the City’s infrastructure. Updates and maintenance to the primary base map, creating new maps, incorporating new developments, annexations, and related infrastructure will be just some of the daily activities for this position. Other opportunities may also involve scanning, plotting, field work using a GPS, interpreting legal descriptions, training City staff in map usage, and creating written instructions for different map and database applications.
A basic knowledge of AutoCAD software would also be beneficial. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously without impacting quality are essential.

Seasonal Maintenance for Highway Department
The seasonal maintenance worker performs routine, entry- level duties related to the maintenance of the city’s roadways and facilities.
Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision. Such responsibility includes grass, weeds and brush cutting, pours concrete streets and sidewalks, repairs asphalt roads by patching holes and sealing cracks. Employees will work forty hours per week for ten to fourteen week assignment between May 1st and September 30th, 2010.
Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license, ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods out doors under adverse weather conditions.
$13.34 an hour

at the Renaud Spirit Center
The City of O’Fallon is seeking motivated customer service oriented individuals who are interested in part-time employment at the Renaud Spirit Center. Applicants must be available to work flexible hours, as shifts/hours will vary between the hours of 5 AM and 9 PM , including weekends and holidays. Applicants for all positions must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire. Applicants must possess a first-aid/CPR card or be able to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment.
Pool Staff
Lifeguards ($7.64/hour) and Swim Lesson Instructors ($8.63/hour)
Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and must demonstrate a high level of maturity and the desire to work as part of a team. Prior to being hired, applicants must obtain:
