![]() Citizens First Center Street Creep Request The thermo expansion and contraction of concrete pavements, otherwise known as “street creep,” is an occurrence that affects many communities. Cured concrete expands and contracts due to temperature changes throughout the year. Homes located at the end of “T” intersections, at the end of cul-de-sacs, and on the outside of a curve are especially susceptible to “street creep” damage. Although residential driveways are private property, and maintenance and repair of the driveway is the sole responsibility of the homeowner, as a courtesy to O’Fallon residents, the City offers repair services to those with possible “street creep” damage. This creates a six-inch contraction joint that is less likely to bridge forces.
