Billing themselves as, “The best rock and roll band you will ever see,” Joe Dirt & the Dirty Boys Band will headline O’Fallon’s Fall Fest Street Dance from 7 - 10 p.m. on Friday, October 9, in Civic Park, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. Leaving no rock ‘n rolling stone unturned, the band’s set list includes Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, KISS, Ted Nugent, Deep Purple, the James Gang, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, Billy Squier and Golden Earring. Admission and parking are free, and wine, beer, soft drinks, nachos and hot dogs will be available for purchase.

Then on Saturday, October 10, return to Civic Park for the Fall Fest from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and browse vendors’ booths for games, toys and sports-related Cardinals and MIZZOU items, hand-crafts gifts and accessories like hats, scarves, handbags and jewelry, artwork, seasonal decorations for your home and yard, quilted, embroidered, crocheted and needlepoint items, primitive reclaimed wood and upcycled hand-painted décor, hand-painted glassware, patio pavers, handmade birdhouses, bird feeders and more. Food and beverages that will be for sale include walking tacos, gyros, pulled pork, chili, kettle corn, funnel cakes and fruit cobblers.

George Portz and the Friends of Bluegrass will open the Fall Fest with old-time country, fiery Cajun and bluegrass music from 10 a.m. – noon. Helen Russell & Company will follow with classic rock, country music and a little bit of comedy from 1 – 4 p.m. Russell is a former vocalist for Lee Mace’s Ozark Opry. In the gazebo, Madam Rosa will present her Museum of Natural Oddities at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Free tours of the O’Fallon Historical Society’s Log Cabin Museum will be available throughout the day, with Patricia McMenomy performing music on the hammer dulcimer.
