The O’Fallon City Council will hold a special meeting today, March 17, 2015, to consider a second reading for final passage of Bill No. 6584, an Ordinance authorizing and directing the purchase of property located on Bryan Road near the intersection of Veteran's Memorial Parkway for Municipal Purposes. The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in the O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street.
The purchase, which will provide the City with a location for a new Police Station and Municipal Courts building, was originally announced by Mayor Bill Hennessy as part of his State of the City Address in January of this year.
Bill number 6584 received first reading at the City Council meeting on Thursday, March 12, 2015. The Special Meeting is needed to allow City staff to coordinate the closing of the property. If the Bill passes, closing should take place later this week.
