The City of O’Fallon, Missouri’s Cultural Arts Division has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to support the City’s community theater program, O’FallonTheatreWorks.
“The National Endowment for the Arts is proud to support the diversity of excellent arts programs across the country, including organizations like O’FallonTheatreWorks, to make the arts accessible to O’Fallon, Missouri, residents, further enhancing the vitality of their community,” said NEA Chairperson Jane Chu.
O'FallonTheatreWorks has been an active part of the community since 2001. Annual productions at the O’Fallon Municipal Centre include a spring musical, a summer youth theater production, and a drama or comedy in the fall.
“This grant is a nice fit for our programming,” said Darren Granaas, O’Fallon’s Cultural Arts Coordinator. “We’ll be able to use these funds to strengthen some of the technical aspects of our productions.”
The NEA is the federal agency that supports and funds the arts to give Americans the opportunity to experience creativity and participate in the arts in thousands of communities. For more information, go to www.arts.gov or Twitter at @NEAarts.
