Fort Zumwalt Park temporarily closing to traffic and disc golf on Monday, October 9, for Celebration of Lights setup

To prepare for the City’s annual Celebration of Lights, Fort Zumwalt Park is closing to vehicles starting Monday, October 9, through January 15, 2018, so that crews can safely install holiday lights and scenes for the City’s annual Celebration of Lights display. The park’s disc golf course, “The Fort,” also will be closed during this period.

Pedestrians are welcome during daylight hours, but for safety’s sake are required to stay on the paved drive through the park, which has a designated lane for walkers and joggers. And everyone is invited to see the Celebration of Lights, which will be open the day after Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 24 through December 30, closing only for Christmas, December 25.
