OnlyInYourState.com rates O’Fallon as one of Missouri’s safest cities

Drawing on F.B.I. statistics, the website OnlyInYourState.com recently rated O’Fallon as the fifth safest of Missouri cities with populations of more than 10,000. At about 82,000 residents, O’Fallon is the largest City to be named among the “Top 10” safest cities, and it is the only St. Charles County municipality on the list.

“We can be extremely proud that O’Fallon continues to be a safe place to live, work and play,” said Mayor Bill Hennessy. “It is a testament to our residents, our businesses and the men and women of our O’Fallon Police Department. Your dedication to caring for your homes, your neighborhoods and our entire community is the reason we have received this honor.”

O’Fallon’s bulk waste drop-off for large items is available, free, to City trash customers

City of O’Fallon trash and recycling customers can bring many items that are too large to fit into curbside trash containers to the Bulk Waste Drop-off on Saturday, June 27, from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. at the City’s waste transfer station,1572 Progress West Lane, O’Fallon, MO 63366. Additional drop-off dates will be held on August 29, October 24, and December 19.

To use the drop-off, O’Fallon trash customers must show a current photo ID with their O’Fallon address and unload their own items. Only one load per household will be accepted per day, and only cars, pickup trucks, and small trailers 10 feet long or less will be allowed. Get carnival ride tickets at 50% off before O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest opens

Heritage & Freedom Fest attendees can save 50% on carnival ride tickets by pre-purchasing their tickets before the event. Discounted Heritage & Freedom Fest tickets will be available through Wednesday, July 1. The discounted tickets will be good for all three days of the festival, which will be held July 2-4 at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex, 900 T.R. Hughes Boulevard, O’Fallon (63366). Admission and parking are free.

Main Street (Highway M) railroad crossing to temporarily close for repairs

In early June, the railroad crossing at Main Street in O'Fallon will temporarily close while repairs are done to the tracks. The closure will last two to four days while railroad crews repair and service the area.
 
An exact date for closure will be available soon, as will a map detailing detours around the affected area. If you use this street on your daily commute, please make other plans during this time. Thank you for your patience.
